easyJet – Flash animation

Our work with easyjet spanned half a decade during which time Kino were responsible for the design and build of easyJet’s online adverts. This series of animations all used objects to publicise the advantages of flying easyJet for business, and as such adopt a slightly different tone to normal:

Newcastle University Business School – web development

Our digital services package for Newcastle University Business School includes Facebook image competitions, dedicated blogging platforms, animated Flash banner advertisements, websites, and fully customisable, on-brand HTML emails.


Mango Bikes – web development

We created and developed a fully interactive eCommerce platform for Mango Bikes, allowing customers to design and order bespoke bikes online. We built this site entirely in WordPress, which made it quick and easy for Mango Bikes to manage themselves.

Matchtech – website design

Speed Communications and Matchtech commissioned us to design and build a Community Portal, with enough flexibility to grow and develop alongside their evolving community concept. We created a sharp, visually compelling website, which we embedded in their main site.

Our brand-consistent designs adapted seamlessly as different types of content were created or removed by Matchtech, during each phase of the community portal project.



Forward2me – website development

We came to Forward2me’s new website build half way through the development process. We integrated our new design into the existing Joomla framework, and Forward2me were delighted with the results.

Iain Banks – web design

Our website architecture for popular author Iain Banks was designed for maximum flexibility, so it could be re-skinned to complement the cover of his most recent novel, and be easily viewed on all devices, mobile or desktop.

We designed Flash animation banners as part of a wide online advertising campaign for Stonemouth. The grungy, industrial mood of these designs and and the suspension bridge elements also echo the book cover.


British Frozen Food Federation – web development

The British Frozen Food Federeation (BFFF) emphasised bright, visual appeal and easy content management as two of their key objectives for our new site build. We created their new site using WordPress as the foundation, and they were delighted with the results. We went on to design and build as their consumer-facing online recipe resource to promote cooking with frozen food.

Howla – web development

Our unique Facebook image competition platform, designed in-house, and developed in PHP.

Grand Scheme – web development

The Grand Scheme website was developed by our senior developer, Rich Telford, using HTML5 to provide a full and interactive browsing experience.


Durham University – web development

Durham University English Language Centre asked us to develop a system for managing complex personal data for their 800-strong international student summer intake.

We built a bespoke MS Access database application which allowed student data to be easily updated and managed securely online throughout the duration of the programme. This included multiple data entry forms, custom reports and automation of key tasks.


Gilda & Pearl – website design

Gild and Pearl asked us to gently refresh the look of their site while maintaining its signature style, and to enhance the user experience and checkout process. Our work on the interface had an immediate positive impact on sales.

Phase 1:

We implemented WordPress as Watkins Publishing’s content management system, and built on the innovative new functionality from our designs.

Phase 2:

We linked up XML feeds to bring in book content dynamically, as well as building in a 3rd party payment processing facility.
