We’ve created a simple block quote with a quote, name and picture for blog posts. This time a client needed to set up the quotes through the CMS, place it anywhere in the post using a simple shortcode, include a Twitter share button to share the quote and finally utilise the Google URL shortener API to keep the page link short for Twitter.
We love WordPress here at Kino Creative, but such a large CMS platform is bound to develop the occasional niggle. If you can’t login to the administration panel then your first port of call should be the WordPress Codex. Unfortunately although the solution worked for us, it didn’t address the underlying problem.
